Unknown French newspaper Papillon promo (1973 clipping)

January 1973. The French were never quite sure what to make of the name Frances.

"Lavender Valley’s Papillon flies to the shelves in May
JANUARY 1973
They’re two-thirds American rockers, one-third French acoustic pluckers, and one hundred percent femme fatale.
Lavender Valley’s Frances Hamilton and Beth Bailey met in Oregon, United States as children, and later met
Corinne Deschamps by chance while on a trip to southern France. The Montpellier-based trio’s third album,
J’aurais Aimé Être Un Papillon, including the single “Les Lunettes Roses," will be available May 14."
