Biography

Short biographic blurbs from Orange era promotional postcards.

Frances Hamilton was born on September 25, 1950, though many Francophone publications call her Françoise instead.
She's the quiet perfectionist of Lavender Valley who sings and plays bass guitar. She comes from Portland, Oregon and met
drummer Beth when they were in first grade. The two lifelong friends are also the primary songwriting duo of Lavender Valley.
Frances' other likes include painting and traveling, both of which inspired the pair's initial voyage across the pond in 1970.

Elizabeth Bailey was born on December 12, 1950, and her personality is as loud as her cymbal crashes. The drummer
grew up in Portland, Oregon and calls vocalist Frances her childhood best friend. Beth was the first of the pair to discover
rock music in their adolescence, priming them both to learn to play their instruments. As the only member of
Lavender Valley proficient in both English and French, Beth is no-doubt the talker of the group, as well as a
primary songwriter. In addition, she enjoys watching exciting films and making those around her laugh.

Augusta Corinne Deschamps was born on May 6, 1952, but you can just call her Corinne. She's a gentle yet
determined lady hailing from a little French village called Nant, not to be confused with Nantes. In Lavender Valley,
she plays a left-handed guitar and the keyboard, and she'll even pen a song every now and then. Corinne loves nature, reading,
and the bare necessities -- you'll never catch her wearing makeup or jewelry. Though she once felt like an outcast
in her rural community, she has since found belonging in both music and her new American friends.
